Carrie Bickmore’s Emotional Post: Opening Up About Mental Health Struggles (2026)

"Bad Days": Carrie Bickmore’s Emotional Message Resonates with Fans

Carrie Bickmore has bravely shared her experience of a particularly difficult day that left her feeling overwhelmed, capturing the attention and concern of her followers on social media.

On Tuesday, the well-known television personality took to her Instagram story, offering an intimate look into her life during a challenging moment and reassuring her fans who might also be struggling that they are not alone in their feelings.

"Some days bring joy, while others can feel quite heavy. Yesterday was one of those tough days for me," she wrote alongside a snapshot that featured her tear-streaked face and smudged mascara as she rested in bed. This candid image portrayed her vulnerability, striking a chord with many.

"If you're facing a tough day, you are certainly not the only one going through it," she emphasized, trying to create a sense of community among her followers. Following this, she shared the image on her main Instagram feed, hoping to connect with others who might also be navigating their own rough patches.

"I posted this photo in my stories and was immediately met with a wave of responses from people experiencing their own bad days. I thought it would be beneficial to share it here too, so feel free to comment ‘bad day’ as well, and we can all acknowledge our struggles together, fostering a sense of solidarity," she explained in her caption.

"Remember, tomorrow is a fresh start," she concluded the heartfelt post, which has since received nearly 18,000 likes from her supportive audience.

Friends from her circle, including fellow celebrities, quickly filled the comments with messages of encouragement and understanding.

"Oh no, this brought tears to my eyes. I completely empathize with you. Remember, there's always a new day ahead! And by the way, you have the most adorable crying face," wrote Sophie Monk, the host of Love Island.

Tennis champion Jelena Dokic added, "Stay strong, lovely. You’ve got this! Sending you plenty of light, love, and hugs your way."

Podcast host Kate Langbroek also chimed in with a supportive message, saying, "Mia carrita," expressing her empathy.

This poignant post comes after Bickmore disclosed last March that she had begun taking antidepressants. She made this candid revelation during a segment on the Hit Network’s drive show, Carrie & Tommy, where she openly discussed her mental health journey.

During the conversation, she acknowledged the privilege of having access to psychological support, stating, "I realize it’s not something everyone has access to."

Bickmore went on to mention the other steps she has taken to enhance her mental well-being.

"I try to engage in physical exercise because it really benefits my mental clarity, but doing so when you're feeling down is incredibly challenging," she explained.

She shared that she recently started antidepressants for the first time, noting, "It’s not that I have ever been opposed to them; I had managed without them before, but I reached a point where I recognized I couldn’t handle everything alone anymore and needed some assistance."
